Starting November 6th, we will be moving worship gatherings to 10:15 AM to our new location across the street from our current location! It will be easy to find us! Though there are a TON of details left to work through, it should be a GREAT morning- DON'T MISS IT!
THIS Sunday we will meet @ 4 PM at The Dance Studio. We will gather for a few minutes then travel down the road to a local apartment complex where we'll do a "Cook out and Candy" for the residents! This will be an awesome way to meet new people AND promo the Re-Launch of The Community Church! The biggest need at the moment is CANDY! BRING SOME when you come Sunday! Every thing else should be covered!
Pray for 11.6.11 A lot of prayers, effort, and money have gone in to bringing a new and simple church to the area!
ALSO- We have just discovered a MAJOR need of a family in the community near our church. Their home and all their possessions were destroyed by the April 27th storms. The family unfortunately did not have insurance.
FEMA provided for the family a temporary trailer for shelter. However, I just discovered that their temporary trailer and everything they had in it was destroyed by a fire. Ugh...my heart hurts for this family as I write.
They are currently living in a hotel for the next week; beyond that they have no plans.
They have no money, no possessions, little clothing. Here is a copy of his email of what their needs are.
Brother Willis, after speaking to my wife, we came up with some ideas for things we know we are going to need. We weren't sure of what price range you were speaking of, but we thought we would just list many things to fit any price range. We can, of course, use Wal-Mart, Lowes, or Home Depot gift cards. For our home we will need a microwave hood for the kitchen, almost all small appliance to include: toaster oven, mixer, crock pot, waffle iron, toaster, can opener, coffee pot, blender, griddle, electric skillet, and storage bowls, corningware, dinnerware and silverware. We will have to come up with flooring for the house, mattress sets, sheets, towels, 1 TV and a dvd player. I know this is a large list but these are all things we will have to get and even one item from your church would help tremendously and be a blessing. Thank you for calling me and blessing me with your kind consideration and God Bless You and your family and church. We need your prayers more than anything. Prayers that we will always be found serving our Lord and Savior in the eyes of others and be a light unto Him.
